Hifas da Terra is participating in the final phase of the Microinmunomama R&D project, a collaborative research initiative involving the Galicia Sur Health Research Institute and the Leitat technology centre.

The project has received funding from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation through the Challenges Collaboration Programme.

A collaborative research project

The participating organisations contribute complementary expertise in research, analytical methods, biotechnology and product development.

Hifas da Terra’s work within the project includes the research and analytical characterisation of mushroom-derived ingredients and food supplement formulations under controlled conditions.

The project also uses molecular and multi-omics methods to collect and analyse scientific data. Multi-omics is an approach that combines different types of biological data to support a more detailed analysis within a research protocol.

Research, analysis and product development

Participation in collaborative projects enables Hifas da Terra to expand its technical knowledge of mushroom-derived ingredients, formulation methods and analytical processes.

This work forms part of the company’s continuing commitment to research, technological development and collaboration with external scientific organisations.

Research is an ongoing process. Participation in a research project does not, by itself, demonstrate that a commercially available food supplement provides a particular health benefit.
