Igelstachelbart (Hericium erinaceus) - Lernen - Hifas da Terra

In Japan ist der Igelstachelbart gemeinhin als Yamabushitake bekannt. Dieses Wort setzt sich aus Yamabushi und Take zusammen. Das erste Wort bedeutet „der auf dem Berg schläft“ und nimmt Bezug auf die eremitischen Mönche von Shushendo; Take bedeutet „Pilz“. In China kennt man den Pilz auch unter den Namen Shishigashira („Löwenmähne“) und Houtou („Affenkopfpilz“).

Der Igelstachelbart zeichnet sich durch seinen hohen Gehalt an Ballaststoffen aus und gilt darum als natürliches Präbiotikum. Es liegen wissenschaftliche Studien über seine Wirkung bei Verdauungsproblemen vor. Seine regenerierende Wirkung untermauert auch seine Anwendung bei kognitivem Verfall.

Es ist die Summe der Beta-Glukane, Hericenone und Erinazine, die den Igelstachelbart zu einem Nahrungsmittel macht, das aufgrund seiner regenerierenden Wirkung auf Schleimhäute und Bindegewebe bei Verdauungsbeschwerden und Gedächtnisverlust hilfreich sein kann.

Mykologische (Pilzkundliche) Anmerkungen

Sein Körper ist merkwürdig: Er zeichnet sich durch einen weißen Pompon aus, der aus unzähligen kleinen Filamenten gebildet wird. Er besitzt weder einen Hut, noch Lamellen oder einen differenzierten Stiel.

Kultivierung von Hericium erinaceus

Die Art Hericium erinaceus ist in der gesamten nördlichen Hemisphäre heimisch. Üblicherweise fruchtet er auf absterbenden oder leblosen Laubbäumen, in die er über Wunden eindringt. Es handelt sich um eine der wenigen Arten, die in Nussbaumholz kultivierbar sind. Die Besiedlung dieser Baumart erfolgt nur langsam und dauert mehrere Jahre.

Bei Hifas da Terra verwenden wir unterschiedliche Hölzer mit äußerst zufrieden stellenden Ergebnissen und erzielen frühe Produktionsmengen, die sich monatlich bzw. alle sechs Wochen wiederholen.

Sein Anbau im Freien erfolgt mittels Holzschnitzeln auf Baumstümpfen oder -stämmen. Anschließend werden die mit Igelstachelbart beimpften Baumstümpfe einem Inkubationsvorgang unterzogen, damit sie an einem schattigen und feuchten Standort in die Erde verbracht werden können.

Eine weitere Anbaumethode ist die Verwendung von sterilisiertem Substrat, das sich aus verschiedenen organischen Substraten zusammensetzt.

Kultivierung in Bioreaktoren

Ein Forschungsschwerpunkt von Hifas da Terra ist die kontinuierliche Verbesserung der Kultivierung verschiedener Pilzarten in Bioreaktoren unter Verwendung zertifizierter ökologischer Substrate.
